Thoughts on cost of big roll-up barn doors

Does anyone have a guestimate on the price of a roll-up door for my newly insulated 42x60 ft barn? The front door opening is maybe 17 or 18 ft wide by 13 or 14 ft high. I think the cost will scare me and I don't want to ask someone about price until I'm more serious. Any estimate or experience appreciated.

Go onto ebay and look up Janus roll up doors. Thats where i got mine. Very easy to install. You can order them with or without the internal operator motor.

Several years ago when I built my garage I bought a 12' x 12' commercial insulated door on tracks and it cost $1500. I'd cringe at what it would cost today.

Menards has the best pricing I've found on larger garage doors. I recently bought 2 14x14 and 1 12x12 all insulated, for my new shop.
At least your in their territory, I have to drive 4hrs away to get to one.

$1500-$2500 ,my 10"x12' was $1400 with an opener three years ago,uninsulated.Way better than a "slider".Have a remote on the tractor and side by side.Not a roll up but regular overhead door.

If your talking a commercial style metal roll-up that you can drive a tractor-trailer through, those are more in the $5-7k range.

Installed maybe, not if you install it yourself. My 12’ x 12’ roll up with internal motor took about 1 hour to install. Only needed 1 person to help, but i placed a electric winch up at peak to assist. Actual lift and bolt down only took 15 minutes to secure. Took way less time than sectional door to install.

Simply place roll up section on ground and attach both side rails, than lift up and secure with 5 bolts per side. And 1 bolt per side held it inplace while squaring up install. Lots of videos out there showing install.

The Gliderol controller uses standard liftmaster controls. The motor is contained within the roll up section. Theres no upper tracts to get in the way.
