88F with a mix of sun and clouds @ 15:30, still hoping that some rain materializes.

Where did that high temp of 79F go ?



Got rest of bell peppers watered and fed.

Then watered the okra. Based on the yields I'm seeing, I figure we need around double the number of plants ... so probably 20 next year.

Then moved on to watering, trimming, and feeding the tomatoes in the grow bags. Those haven't been watered since I planted them and they have shown no signs of drooping even with no watering. Possibly due to the peat moss I mixed into the screen compost ... or maybe just that the plants aren't all that large.

After that I watered the summer squash. (No fertilizer ... they don't need any encouragement) Then picked what was ready to pick.

This afternoon's harvest:

Time to pull out the Cuisinart and get to shredding ...

very nice experience at wellness center of hospital in Warrington, parking spot right out front near the door and once
registered I was seen within 5 minutes. Marvelous. Shows I need to avoid the main hospital whenever possible.
now to find an open mri.
that went so fast this afternoon decided to come home instead of going to friends for dinner, just too early.
watching the radar, looks like a nasty storm has fallen apart, should get here in next hour.

brewing a pot of coffee so I can have a cup before I go.
I am miserable social company at night usually, so this will at least keep me awake.

A whole army of amyworms on my tomatoes, hand picked a dozen at least and they wrecked about a half dozen tomatoes.
Two hornworms found too.
I hate sharing.....

stink bugs are destroying our tomatoes.

2pm 92F now 71F nice steady rain finally.

Stop for critter while putting good in truck heard like yelling noise staff let customer test drive RTV in the parking lot,seems customer didn't have enough knowledge to operate RTV jump curb hit park pick in the door owner of pickup wasn't not happy I split.

Hospital doesn't have a room for him, sending him to another hospital later tonight, can't get transport. I think our health care system is severely broken. he Was dehydrated, and weak because he doesn't want to eat. My sisters will try to get him in the local care center after he's released.
