Modern Ag Viper 12' Batwing Gearbox

Anyone know what brand their Gearboxes are? Right hand one has played out on me. Called a dealer and they want $1,200 for a new one. Has to be a generic one available that would work.

A great majority of them are COMER gear boxes, you should contact
the folks at Boston Gear and ask who their representative is in your area.

High horsepower gearboxes are very expensive.

Another option is an ag salvage company like Wengers of Myerstown, Pa.
for a used one.

I am sorry you are going through all this but if you are still intent on doing this
work in the long term a Hiniker flail shredder that can be towed is still a good
alternative for you.

A folding rotary cutter/crop shredder with one or two wings was designed simply
to be road legal for the end user.

Thank you, Leonz for your response. I recently purchased this mower pre-owned, and like everything about it. I don't know if this was something already weak when I bought it, or if I did the damage myself. I'm learning on the fly about these things.
