I have no idea what or where those might have come from!! But, that's sure some scary stuff to find, especially in the hydraulic oil!! Wishing you the best of luck and thoughts.View attachment 3685656View attachment 3685657View attachment 3685656 I was changing out the hydraulic filter on my 1999 Kubota L4310 today and it appears that I have gear teeth on the filter magnet. Anyone have any idea what or where these came from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Since we bought it used a couple years back, it has always seemed like the hydraulic pressure was not strong enough. It usually needs the rpms raised to lift the bucket loader at what I would consider a normal speed. Not sure if that's normal or not. Other than that we haven't noticed anything not working or having issues. It has the FST transmission. Is everything still working? What transmission do you have, it looks like three were available.
That was one of the thoughts I had also, as the diff lock has definitely taken some abuse and pops loud when disengaging. Not sure if that's normal or not. Thanks for your help.To me, that looks more like splines rather than gear teeth. Looking at how the material looks and broke, makes me think it's cast iron.
At first, I was thinking diff lock, but checking the parts catalog and some pictures of the actual parts and it doesn't even have splines there.
