My dad picks up scrap for people and brings it to the recycling yard. Most of the stuff he picks up is broken appliances, but recently a friend of his gave him two Homer's Farm Pro 2420 2WD tractors. Ones a 2002 and the other is a 2005. They lack compression so they won't run. Would it be worth it to try and sell them for parts or should we just sell them as scrap metal to the recycling yard?

Hello and Welcome.
Hard to say as it looks like they have been cannibalized already, shame too as those look like the original tires, so low hour machines?
Where are you located?

Not sure how much they've been used. We are just outside Baton Rouge, Louisiana

It's Homier btw. If you have the time and patience, I'd restore them to useable condition on a tight of budget as you can afford. I see the one has an acute steering issue...lol

If I had them, I would throw them up on Facebook marketplace for at least a little while and see if you get any bites. It seems a shame to just scrap them, but I wouldn't want to put any time in it myself. Put them up for sale for 3 or 4 times scrap price and I bet someone would buy them.

The tires alone would exceed scrap value. I’d put them on marketplace for maybe $500 each and see what happens.

Looks the one with ag tires also has rear wheel weights. Unless some real odd ball size they should be worth some money.

Unless you have use for them yourself, I think that's the best idea! I think you'll find someone to bite on the pretty quickly.
