Definitely not something I would do any work with. I have a couple Kubota's that handle those tasks for me. If I get it and can get it running, it would be as you say a parade tractor and mainly for her grandkids to be able to drive what their great grandpa used on the farm. She would get the cleaned up, running good and run around my farm a few times a year.
I reviewed the documentation pile handed to me. The original owners paperwork, shop manual, detailed parts list and a couple invoices. Tractor is 1959. They purchased a kit to convert the engine oil filter to a throw away model in the 70's. Radiator was replaced in 2013. Judging by no fluids in it at all, I am thinking that 2013 may be the last time it ran prior to the new radiator. No paperwork around any other repairs/purchase to the tractor. There is a card from the local Service Center, Apple Farm Service Inc. They look to still be around. I may pop them an email to see if they have any old service records on this machine.

Apple is also a Kubota dealer fyi.
We have quite a few around here with the closest being around 4 miles from my house. They are only Kubota and Ferris for new sales. You need to go up 33 a bit to find one that handles multiple manufacturers. I did get a call back from Apple and if I can get the SN, they can search their sales and repair records for me. Looks like i'm in for another road trip to the farm.
Just wanted to thank everyone for their input on this old Ford. I did make an offer however they believe it is worth a minimum of $3200. Told them no hard feelings and to take the best offer they can get. Sentimental/emotional value is a hard gap to bridge.
