Mahindra 3616 pto not working

New pto clutch (one way bearing only) arrived today. Assembled and installed. Tomorrow we get the old gal remarried between HST section and transmission end. Part was awful salty, especially since I dont know why it failed. But shoutout to H.G. VIOLET of Delphos, Ohio for getting the clutch delivered in 4 days!

Can you take the old one apart, and see what ails it?

I did. Nothing physically broken, the micro spring rings that contain locking rollers were wadded up. Will try to get pics up this afternoon. Sealed bearings on both sides of the clutch unit, nothing got in or out of this guy. Just an internal failure of the on way bearing.

I had a 3016 Shuttle Shift(2014) but it had a electric solenoid button and a mechanical lever to engage the PTO. not sure how the HST on yours works, my 2638 HST is setup sorta like my old 3016. i do have the service manual for the 3016-3616 in PDF if you want it

Do you have the 3616 device manual I’m having the same problem I’m just not sure if it’s my PTO clutch or pin that sheared somewhere I just don’t know where to look? Thanks

JaJo....if yours is 3616...I will bet it is the pto clutch. The part is not as robust as it should be. Really sux that we have to split the tractor simply slide on a new clutch. Note, when you split your tractor, make sure to wedge the front axle from both sides. If you forget this, the magnetic pan you have been putting all your bolts in on the hood will fly off when the front pivots. And it will happen pretty fast.
