I know this is a pretty old thread, but....anyone recently used an alternative to Permatran from either NAPA or TSC? if so, which one....the permatran is 10w-30 the alternatives seem to be different wights...thanks in advance

The newer standard is to make hydraulic oils multi-viscosity, rather than the straight 30w it was years ago. This helps with operations in cold weather

Twenty years ago, Permatran III was straight 30w.
