    Blew out a tire...or something

The rim shows scraping damage from rubbing against a sharp curb (whatever) which deflated the tire and also tore out the stem. I'll speculate that the stem is still inside the tire waiting to rattle around after the tire is re-seated. Turn up the radio volume, the sound won't bother you as...

    Red Dyed Diesel

Had to stop using blue because Sunoco already was adding blue to their 240 & 260 blends of gasoline. Thus to keep you from putting aircraft strength gas into a diesel tank.

    Red Dyed Diesel

Put some in a Gatorade bottle and sick it in the company fridge. Definitely stops the stealing of your hydration supply.

Just finished my 40th hay harvest

Most of those years were behind a 35 hp JD tractor, a NH 479 haybine, a JD 55 rake, and a JD14T baler. A few thousand a year from local fields including my own. A few years ago I added a NH1012 stack wagon because now I'm doing it by myself. Then a customer teased me into trying out her Vicon...

Converting manual sickle mower to hydraulic lift and position unit

I have one of these. I can run it off my JD F-935, 1435, mowers with a hand fabbed mount or my JD 1070 tractor mounted to the side of the bucket. Double sickles, hydraulic powered, runs in any position. https://www.cutthat.com/product/sabre-samurai-cutter-2/

    TnT question

You risk blowing out a cylinder seal if an impact load comes along. Also end of travel reached can do it to. Top links are at every garage sale around hear. Try for a used one. You could also consider a chain to lock-out the cylinder (in extend mode). Be sure to cap the hose ends when not in...

John Deere. What is this piece of equipment? Thank you for your help

I believe that is a John Deere #21 Hay Conditioner or "Hay Crimper" used to crunch up legume plants (alphalfa hay usually) after it was cut with a "one arm bandit" type sickle mower. These days, the cutting & crimping operations are being done with just 1 machine called a "haybine" as in "hay...

DK 45 Losing Power under load

Air filters, Both of them. If it was power overloaded, either internally or externally, you'd be on the governor and exhaust would have black smoke.

R14 tires any good in the snow on hilly driveway?

In my passed life as a tire engineer, I can attest to the differences in snow & ice traction between brands, types, and wear states for tires OF THE SAME SIZE. More natural rubber content gets you the best snow & ice traction for a given weight (The weight makes them work by compressing the...

    Tall grass problems with a B 7510?

Why was he looking at the PTO for a 3rd function installation ? A friend of mine has a 4400 hydro, even when mowing and baling tall grass hay, there's never been any kind of accumulation near the pto shaft area. I'd go back to the dealer for an explanation, then go above them, then call the...

Looking for valuable information on repairing this at home.

Should be very easy IMHO. 2 snap rings and the shaft is released after you remove the housing. Look at the on-line parts list for diagrams.
