    Lovol Tractors

My 2024 TYM T25 has, if I remember correctly, a 6 year "bumper to bumper", and a 10yr powertrain warranty. TYM is a popular brand.

    Foton FT254A clutch and parts

Fotons are not a rebranded Jinma. SOME of the parts are close or the same, but not enough to use most Jinma manuals. I have a 206 Foton 504 and have several threads on them for different things. They are a division of Lovol tractors from China and were very inexpensive when they hit North...

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

Sound advice. Back in my auto days we would watch someone cutting an exhaust down. In anticipation of what the sparks falling into his Bic lighter pocket might do.

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

From the first spark I heard bacon frying. I played with the amps (my only choice of setting for some reason (synergeric) and I got different effects from different amperage of course. 100, 75 (best on my small scrap) then 50 (no good). Quite thin metal.

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

I mentioned earlier that I was a licensed mechanic from 1987 to 2005 and I had to learn to weld to get my license. I have a 40+ yr old flux core mig in the basement right now that never worked right - and the last time I needed to use that was around 2004. So I do see a need coming up for a...

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

By the way, even though I can never tell anyone what brand of welder it is because I can't pronounce the name, it works pretty slick. And that's without a chance to practice yet. My 3 small test beads were better than my best when I first learned 40ish years ago.

Soooo, I finally got to try your suggestions to help me with my un-pronouncible welder. It's not in the manual, so apparently we're born with the knowledge, that I didn't get in my dna. You must pull the wire feed trigger to make it work. Thanks for the help all (he said embarrassingly).

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

Buddy who has my truck (work space for me) called this morning and said there's a guy there right now willing to weld the truck frame I needed welded. And he would finish up any grinding for clean up welding prep instead of me having to do it. I said go ahead. He had everything he needed so...

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

Didn't get a chance to try it yet, but happened to find out a girl I'm dealing with at work is also a welder. She smiled and said pull the trigger. So it's looking that's the problem. I'll be back once I try it for sure. And I also found someone to do some welding on the frame of a truck I...

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

Oh FFS !! If it wasn't so dark out I'd go set the thing up again and try to run a bead on the hood of my car. If it didn't work, I'm no further behind. If I weld my hood, it's punishment for not thinking of that. I figured the trigger only ran the wire feed. No electricity. In my defense, the...

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

Umm. No. I had 5/8 in of wire sticking out so didn't pull the trigger. Is that required for arc? My old mig would spark with touching the wire and as it started to burn you hit the feed trigger. Jumpin' jeebus. Could it be that simple?

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

Yeah. Just looked into it a bit and I think amazon return is the wise move. I guess it's return and then repurchase? Might change brands. Here we go into research mode again.

    MIG Welder for Beginner/Light Use

No gas/solenoid. Wire feeds great. Not possible to mix up mig vs. mma connection. Wire only feeds through one of the two possible connections. No spark when tapping wire on ground clamp either. I did not wiggle anything. All connections felt solid and positive. Yes, euro connectors. (New term...
