Pulled the trigger on a new Kubota Grand L5460

While I may only own the baby of the Grand L's, I can tell you you'll love that thing. These L60s are awesome.

    Spreadsheet and price creep hell

Maintaining my 10 acres and helping a buddy on his 30 and 50 acre parcels, I've never thought my L3560 was too big, always just right. Maybe once wished it was a little more. I would have never wanted less tractor for any of those parcels. A good used M Kubota might fit your bill as well.

Help me pick a tractor (25-45 HP)

The L3560 can be had with the LA805 loader for added lifting capacity. The 3 point on that model is also rated for over 3k lbs if I remember right. It's what I have, and it's a hell of a machine for it's size. I've pulled it with a half ton and 3/4, just load your trailer right. Had it in...

Help me pick a tractor (25-45 HP)

I have a L3560 and it fits in my 7 foot doors with the rops down, but it is very close. Doors are adjustable on the opener, maybe yours wasn't up far enough.

First time plowing with SSQA plow, float mode just digs into the driveway

I plow the blacktop and some of the yard at the new house. Old house I did 3 gravel driveways between 300' and 700' each and a 1/4 acre of grass in front of the barn for easy access. Worked really well in not tearing things up. Works well on the asphalt, could be better, but if I get to it...

First time plowing with SSQA plow, float mode just digs into the driveway

I added a 2" steel pipe that a cut a slit in with a plasma torch, tapped it onto cutting edge, and tack welded it every foot. Cut truck mount down and welded to SSQA. I rarely don't plow with my loader in float. L3560 open station. Live in mid michigan so I'm moving plenty of snow and I do just...

Advice on tractor for 7.5 acres - Mowing pasture and general use - L3902? What flail mower?

My Kubota dealer was adament that a PTO chipper is a horrible idea for and tractor. He did sell me a nice L3560- cant recommend the Grand L's enough. I'm working 7 acres of woods with some wet areas.

Learning how to drive with a trailer..

14' single axle will be your friend, not to pricey, and decently capable for hauling needs (about 2500 lbs after you figure 3500 lb axle minus trailer weight). Proper load balancing is key. This won't be too difficult to back up. Double axle has benefits, but it's pricier, and since you don't...

    Digging 400' Trench for cable

Speak with the actual install crew. I've worked in trenches for the last 16 years. By conduit, it could me anything that's in the ground for them to put the cable in. 1 1/2 black sprinkler line has been installed A LOT for anything from cable drops to power line runs from poles to houses or...

Is the Kubota L2501 the largest 25 hp, non regen tractor?

??? I actually went out of my way to verify the numbers and reported back. I agreed that Branson does give the numbers referenced. I accurately showed the Kioti advertisement gimmick that is often overlooked as they list weight at a below full height number. I encouraged the OP to buy...

Is the Kubota L2501 the largest 25 hp, non regen tractor?

Where do y'all get your numbers? 2200lbs and 1835lbs is more than my L3560 with an LA805 loader to full height at pins (104 inches- 1715 lbs). That is a very heavy tractor compared to the Kioti and the L2501 (didn't look up Branson weight). I've been puckered a few times, so even if you could...

    SURPRISE!

Just bought a dethatcher from Blaine's online that they shipped to my house. Thought it seemed like a lot of tape on the box, probably shipping insurance. Nope, missing half the hardware. Took it to store that now had it in stock, exchanged, and they refunded original shipping. Last year...

Smaller rear tires to lower tractor ROPS so I can fit into my trailer when hauling

To the O.P.- Can you lay a couple planks in the front to slide the loader on and then use the down force to "wheelie" into the trailer? When the front goes up, the back goes down, and should lower your ROPS a couple inches, maybe just what you need. Be careful not to push your planks through...

Sorry, I just noticed you got your rig. Nice setup buddy, that'll move some snow, and keep you warm. Congrats.
