Well, my old man squared me away. It was the bucket still being off the ground that was putting too much pressure on that one male end connector. He suggested I jack it up to relieve that pressure, and sure as **** the quick release accepted it just fine. And I get lucky plugging the connectors...

I have two simultaneous problems with my front BL100 Loader hydraulic lines. I was attempting to detach the front loader to be more agile in the forest. Anyway, I did it all wrong, another story. So, I detached all 4 hoses before realizing the color coding on the female ends were all rotted off...
