everyone is keeping their powder dry while our government is busy destroying out country and the dollar. i'm recently retired, so any money I have is either in the bank (where it is losing it's value by the day) or social security. either way, we are watching our nation die in slow motion.
I used to keep a simple heat lamp inside the henhouse for 2 months every year. there were some pretty bad winters when several layers decided to molt. they survived, looking very naked in the coldest part of the year, but it only got down to 32 f that year.
