    scooping load into fel bucket

I have watched videos when you have a big pile the technique is go into bottom of pile with bucket level go forward and raise bucket when tractor starts to stall, curl up, raise curl repeat. I have some small piles of gravel I need to move that are only 1-2 ft in height so this doesn't work so...

    storage in shipping container

I am moving and will need to store items for a few years (not sure how long exactly). The best option is a 40' shipping container which I have looked into. This will be in South Carolina. From what I have found (depending on who you ask like anything else) it is ok to store solid wood furniture...

    storage container off ground

This is a 40' being delivered, flat sandy soil, You would put timber underneath still? And if so would 8.5' RR ties be long enough (they are half the price of PT 6x6x10, but I don't want to be pennywise and pound foolish), trailer is 8' wide but of course it will be hard to center? They will use...

    maximum trailer height

I read the maximum height for tractor trailers is 13'-6". If I am not a commercial driver, hauling something on my trailer, is this the max height for me also? Thanks

thinking about buying a walk behind w/ velke

I understand hydro trans are easiest/best/ most money. I have read that gear/belt drives (same thing right?) are not good for reverse and on hills but why is that? This is just for my yard, not commercial

    caroni belt failer

I have the 1900 and everytime I use it, maybe once a year, belts break after a few hours. I keep everyting greased and have about 3/8" play in belts (width of belt looking at it from side). Here is a picture of where my adjusting bolt is on thread. If someone could please post pic where they...

    oil pan drain bolt location

According to shop manual some engine models have a drain plug on each side of pan, this is what mine appears to have (second and third pics). If so, what is this bolt (first pic) hydraulic fluid?

    welding in bed of truck

I am going to take bucket in the pickup bed to a guy and have him weld on grab hooks (I don't trust my welding skills when lifting heavy items with bucket hooks). I was going to take some cardboard/blankets to keep sparks from damaging paint and plastic bed liner. My other questions is could...

    fliiped tractor

I am okay, except for pride... tractor sat on left side for about 30 min at most before I got it flipped back over, and it has sat for 24 hrs without trying to start. I have read it is a good idea to remove glow/plug/or injector and turn by hand before trying to start with key in case there is...

bought used grapple, drain hyd fluid?

I bought a like new grapple, guy only used once for cleaning up limbs and tree around his house. It has the flat face couplers I need already. He used it with a skid steer, not sure if they use different hyd fluid than tractors. My question is should I worry about the little bit of fluid in...

    is this bad for clutch

When I am in gear and need to stop tractor, and stay stopped for lets say 30 seconds. Is it bad to keep clutch pedal pressed rather than shifting into neutral and letting off clutch then shifting back into gear 30 seconds later? Should clutch only be used for shifting gears instead of example...

    trailer lights

I am really trying to figure this out, hate trailer lights not working like most people, don't want to rewire entire trailer, but I am close..... It is the trailer as my other trailer works fine hooked to same vehicle.... only 1/2 the lights work, it is not the bulbs... the front running lights...

    something wrong with cooling system

Not sure if I have bad sensor, gauge or thermostat, something else, or neither....temp gauge moves but only to line between blue (cold) and green, not into green. I ran for 30 min today, block was warm, upper hose was slightly warm and lower hose was cold. I removed rad cap and nothing spewed...

    testing temp gauge

Temp gauge doesn't move much, so i wanted to test first before testing thermostat. Gauge has 3 wires, red, black, orange. i assume orange goest to sensor? So can I jumper orange connector to a ground and this should move needle? If so, can I jump with orange wire still attached? Thanks
