There is a New Holland 1283 Haycruiser self-propelled baler in unrestored condition for sale in PA for $15000.

I have been seeing Ford tractors such as the 1100 and 1200 models listed for sale. Are repair parts readily available to fix these tractors? I am a bit old fashion and prefer manual transmissions.

Mowed lawn for the first time this year with mu 1988 JD 160. It still does a good job and I like the geared transmission over the hydro. My backup is a 1997 Kmart by MTD.

I have a 1988 JD 160 which would stop the engine when I flipped the PTO switch to engage the blades. I traced the problem to a worn seat safety switch which no longer was held in position correctly. A new switch fixed the problem.

Both had the bad engine design with the engine sleeves being the weak point. The gas engines were a little better than the diesels.

My grandfathers old barn had board and batten floors in the hay loft. I think it was a cheap way to fix the shrunken floor boards.
