    Driving over a septic tank

Agreed, typically nothing more than the zero turn or ATV goes over tank or sand mound. I have occasionally driven a vehicle over the drain pipe going to the tank without issues but typically avoid doing so. It's really not worth the risk, I can go another way.

Safe way to raise a 30' pole

My son made an Eagle Scout project out of replacing the flag pole and landscaping at the local American Legion. We poured a concrete base with 2 opposing pieces of steel channels to serve as the anchor. The steel pole was bolted to the channels with (3) 3/4" bolts. The bottom of the pole is...

Keep Truck in garage or the tractor?

Typically the tractor is in the garage and the truck is outside. However, at the moment my truck has a water leak so it is in the garage until it is fixed and the tractor is outside. I had to cover it with a tarp though since it seems to be raining practically nonstop for over a week. Our...

Can you manually turn the pto hookup on the back of the tractor?

I marked mine with a paint marker also and it definitely helps to line it up. The odds of having the tractor running and something going wrong that engages the PTO are slim, but possible. If it happens, the odds of losing fingers, a hand, an arm, or worse are highly likely. Turn the tractor off...

    Landscape Rake

Interesting. I was only looking at the IronCraft rake since they are available locally, they (previously Titan) made my brush hog, and had heard nothing but good things about their products. Reconsidering now...

    Landscape Rake

I've been looking at an Ironcraft landscape rake also. A local dealer has the 5' for $799 and 6' for $839. I think for $40 I will be going for the 6'.

    Organized my attachments

I have used furniture dollies to store stuff on, sometimes a couple of them tagged together. Makes it easy to shuffle things around as needed. Cheap and easy.

    Need Rotary Cutter advice

Unless something has changed since I bought mine Mahindra doesn't actually make it. It used to be Kodiak, which split and one branch became Titan Implements, which is what mine is. Titan has since rebranded as IronCraft. You'll likely pay more for the Mahindra name for the same cutter compared...

Since the Zero, the Tractor Sits

My Max26XL with MMM is great for mowing the long straight lines of our yard. However anywhere that requires a lot of directional changes is faster with the zturn. There are also a few hilly areas that I'm just not comfortable using the tractor and end up pulling out the zturn for anyway so I...

Pad or cradle to use for BH storage, removing

For items that I move around the garage a couple of furniture dollies work well. 2 dollies attached to each other and set at the width of the snow pusher and bucket. I had another set for the whole FEL with the bucket attached so I could move it around. Rear blade gets 2 car dollies for the...

Pad or cradle to use for BH storage, removing

If I don't place some sort of support under mine it will lower as the stabilizer arms bleed off. I typically just use a set of jack stands under it which works well.

Picked up a trailer this weekend

If you were looking to make money with your trailer you would do better with a deck over trailer. Your wheel wells will limit what you can or can't haul well when it comes to placement and weight distribution. Almost all hot shots that pick up at my company are deck over trailers. Any type of...

    Bolt-on Plastic Edge for FEL?

I would suggest getting a snow pusher with the rubber edge. I use it on my concrete section of driveway and also gravel. It hasn't hurt the concrete and shows very little to no wear from the gravel. You can still easily pile up the snow too.
