DK45SE Starter doing machine gun imitation

Was your battery charger still connected when the tractor finally started? Looking closely at your photo of the volt/ohmmeter probes, they may not have been in good contact with the battery posts when you took the reading. If your battery is truly at 10 V and your charger/starter is disconnected...

Also, as Murph notes, you might not be charging properly during operation. One quick thing to check there is the tension on your alternator belt. Trying to rule out the simple stuff.

Bingo. And since the solenoid started clicking only with the charger/starter hooked up, this strongly suggests your battery is either severely discharged (hopefully) or simply bad. Is it possible that you inadvertently left the key switch in the accessory position after the past use, and...

Gordon, very cool. Interesting lesson in regional geology! Looks like you have the right tool for this!

DK45SE Starter doing machine gun imitation

Athrawn17, this sure sounds like a battery issue. Since yours is only a few months old, hopefully it's good, but just not fully charged. Do you have a portable battery charger you can hook up for a few hours? But even after some time on a charger, just checking the voltage may not be enough...

    If it fits, it ships!

Nice! The way I figure it, when it comes to acquisition cost of most any piece of equipment, that trailer has already paid for itself. ;)(y)

    CK3510 Charging Issues

jbt308, I'm late to this thread, but my first suggestion would have been to check your belt tension. When you tightened your belt, were you able to notice any excess play? I think I'd see how things work out for awhile before going to the trouble of adding a voltmeter to your cab! You may never...

    Rake

Krazi- In terms of pulling power only, I think your CS2220 would probably handle a six-foot landscape rake just fine. Five-foot for sure. I've used a six-footer for 30 years on my 22hp Kubota 2150. I agree with Jeff that an issue may be lift height with your toplink setup and ground clearance...

    If it fits, it ships!

Ha! Very nice patina indeed. In fact a collector's piece. I would pull that trailer with pride. (y) Reminds me of an experience decades ago when I wandered into an Oriental art & furnishings store that was going out of business. I was admiring a solid bronze vase from China that was at least...

    Status of Everything Attachments

Ah, yes. That's what I remember seeing. Thanks Kenny! Just took a quick look at the Ignite Attachments website. Looks like industrial-strength stuff. Their 62" root grapple weighs 800 lbs! That seems a bit much for most CUTs. My 60" EA wicked root grapple is 430 lbs.

Ha! Very clever, Moss! Bernie Madoff's last assigned number at the Butner, NC Federal Correctional Institution. :sneaky: Hoping very few of the employees really knew where things were headed.

    Status of Everything Attachments

Speaking of Travis Templeton, he seemed to be one of the "good ones." My contact with him over the years was only via the phone and email, and of course on TBN. But I've no reason not to wish him well. I can't locate the reference right now, but I think I saw in one of these threads that he...

    Blueberries

Love those wild blueberries! The Costcos in our area occasionally have seasonal wild blueberries, I think from Canada. Small, like those in Maine that Rustyrion describes. Seem to be sweeter than the larger Kirkland cultivated blueberries that are available at Costco year-round.

    Backup camera

Ronsway, welcome to TBN. Lots of threads on this. Search for "Backup Camera" =1&o=date']Search results for query: backup camera If your tractor is open-station, your big problems will be protecting the monitor from water damage and sun glare. I haven't looked into what's out there recently, so...
