OP, ok, just happen to have a pto pump that ran a 3point backhoe. Have to find out what the flow rate was on it. A sufficient tank would be another question.

Can/how could I run a front mount brush cutter on my 3038h. I have a WR LONG 3rd function set up on it now to operate a grapple. Only 3/8 hoses though. No rear remotes.

Followed suggestion in previous post and ordered D starter handle and received this am. Replaced cord and was oh so careful about not letting starter spring unwind. Ran new cord up thru D handle and knotted. Second pull and knot pulled thru new handle. Fortunately did not unwind spring...

Great…just ordered one. Add said Oregon but close enough. Ordered new 3.5mm pull cord also. Might as well change both at the same time. Thanks for the idea.

Even way back I’ve always had to have the saw on the ground holding with my foot. Compression has always been STRONG. My sthil 311 has the compression release and it makes it so much easier.

Had this saw for a very long time. Always a bear to get started the first time. Compression makes it almost impossible for the old guy to get more than a click on each pull. Does not have a compression release. Plug out it spins very easy. How can I reduce some compression to get it to spin...

After warm up engine will run “away” if you do not use any controls. If you keep something moving then ok. Looked at a bunch of YouTube about governor but can’t find my particular motor. Extremely difficult to get at. What to look for if I get the inspection plate off?

Had the jerky lift problem for some time. Utube showed problem. Replaced crumbled seal in piston in sleeve under seat. Worked lift arms a bit to get rod properly seated in back/bottom of piston and bolted back up ok. Hydro fluid full. Flow control valve in middle position. Lift won’t lift...
