    Call before you dig

I have found that 811 locate is very good and prompt. Free and no hassle. Advice I was given by the locate guy was to take photographs of the dig and locate area with markers and to include any locate lines that were marked and the utilities could not claim you dug without getting it marked...

    Fire from neighbor's land

In my state you have to apply and have a burn permit. You have to check everyday before ignition if your area allows a burn to start. If you lose control and the fire department shows up then you pay for the cost of the fire suppression effort at a minimum.

    Windows 11 Office 365 Question

Where can you buy the normal version anymore? I agree that office 365 sucks , but the whole subscription model that all these companies are going to suck and are designed to ripoff the consumer,

    Windows 11 Office 365 Question

I have never used OneDrive for anything. That is why I find this such a violation of my privacy.

    Windows 11 Office 365 Question

I had to upgrade as some programs/application just would run anymore. In addition it was a new laptop. I am pretty sure my backup hard-drive has all the files but it screwed up Outlook as well.

    Windows 11 Office 365 Question

Not really a good sub-forum to ask this but better that any other I could figure. My Windows 11 computer/laptop did an update early Friday morning. Weird stuff started to happen and I finally figured out it was moving all my data files to the OneDrive cloud. Not copying them but moving them...

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

I saw your earlier post about Sure-Trac and thought that must be a Dexter axle model of some type but it sounds like that is not accurate. Never heard of Sure-trak. Googled it and it seems to be an east coast (Tenn) manufacturer. NO wonder I never heard of it before. Probably like you have...

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

Interesting my 9 Dexter axles total for 18 hubs don't have the offset cotter pin. Wonder if those offset are on heavier duty or lighter duty axles than mine. I have 4- 6K, 3- 7K and I think two are 5.2K from many years back.

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

Yeah I kind of ignored the suggestion as there is no cotter pin and I did not want to call it out so I just said nothing. To the best of my knowledge EZ lubes never have cotter pins, maybe some do but not to my knowledge as the cotter pin would go right through the grease channel and block it...

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

I think the rubber plug would blow out way before it pushed the metal cap out. The metal cap takes a very significant effort to get in and to seat. I may try the dimple idea but has not happened in 17 years with this trailer until now and somehow it has to be tied to the brake assembly and...

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

I guess you missed the temp readings that were taken of the hubs. (earlier posts) It is not getting hot or even warm. I wish it was something simple like that but so far nothing is jumping out.

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

No it is not the rubber inner plug it is the entire metal grease/dust cap. Now having said that the rubber plug I presume went with the cap That is for a much lighter weight axle and hub but the principle is the same. Never had this problem before and I have seen them beat up before as well

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

Yes they are EZ lubes. I redid all four hubs with new brakes assemblies and new inner and outer bearings and races. Reused all four grease/dust caps. Three have remained on and one was shed on the first day. Replaced with a new cap twice on return trip and shed again. Have now lost three...

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

The hub temps are within 2-3 degree F of each other whether it is a 1 hour drive or a 5 hour drive

    Trailer hubs shedding grease caps

Well I have an IR sensor gun that I check hub temps every time I stop. I do this on the RV as well as all three equipment trailers. I also have the Tireminder sensors for tire temps and pressure readings real time in cab. Tire air pressure which would be directly effected by hub and wheel...
