    Woods Stump grinder TSG50

Living out in Oregon we often do not have access to the equipment that everyone back east does. I finally found one on ebay and with shipping paid about what a new one would cost less shipping. So far I have removed about 20 stumps (17 in the first 2 days) Is it a perfect unit? no, it jumps a...

    4344 temp gauge

The temp gauge has failed-- it is a stepper type like in GM trucks. Anyone had any lick in finding a replacement and having it installed? I did find a entire cluster but it was slightly under 500.

    Reskinning a King Kutter Tiller

OK, skin in, welded, painted (mostly-- it was a poor quality paint, an going to get a few cans of the good stuff for a better finish) Here is a shot of the rear edge; put spacers in between the tin and the frame to allow dirt to vibrate out of the top area. Welding the front and rear edges...

    Reskinning a King Kutter Tiller

The KK Gate has no frame, just the bends in the metal. We will put some wood under the ends and set the front wheel of the tractor on it as a "press" OK, new skin-- and new skin spray painted "in place" but not welded yet =-- I cannot stress how a few "support welds" would have prevented...

    Reskinning a King Kutter Tiller

As many of us know the KK tiller skin likes to dent and peel paint. It was also cracking along the welds; this is due to the skin only being welded along the top of it at the 4 support pieces. When the new skin is installed, we will put spacers and weld along the front and rear edges to stop...

    Rotary Cutter  Tail wheel repair.

My tailwheel got banged up; I did use heat and straightened it up but it didn't hold. This years first usage for my 6' Prefert brush hog and it tore loose from the 2 side straps meant to hold it. I took a 2x3 piece of tubing and cut a hole in it to house the new tail wheel tube. I ordered from a...

    ordering a new trailer..

Due to the longer neck on this trailer and the tilt bed, finding a store made cargo-toolbox was difficult. I finally created a footprint of the box size I would need and took it to a local sheetmetal shop. The cost was 360.00 but well worth it..

Post photos of your improvised tool box for your SCUT

My Montana 4344 has almost no area to put a tool box, and it took me a few years to come up with this. To the left of the seat was a plastic cover assy for a hydraulic unit that was not put on this model; I removed it and had a nice hole to the rear axle. I had a sheet metal shop build a pocket...

Tractor has a dry place to sleep

Getting my tractor 5 years ago; it has never has a dry place to sleep; so it set in the rain and sun has suffered for it. As we collected 3 quads it became time to get a carport. I checked a local business and he ran the numbers and then i checked on-line and the price was the same; so the only...

There was an earlier thread about the quantity of the walnut harvest this year; I focus on quality... There is a English walnut tree near my house that produces HUGE nuts and I thought I would show them to you all. The left being a standard walnut from a neighbors tree, the right from the tree...
