I'm sorry, tell me more about this. I'm a Ford fan and have a '19 F-150. It's a far cry from the F450 V10, but why so many sets of cylinder heads for only 15k miles?
With unknown service history, have you checked the hydraulics for water contamination? This is a stretch but maybe the water is heating up and binding the wet brakes up?
I see on tractor data this has hydraulic wet brakes. Maybe heat is building from friction and causing water contamination in...
Like Robin responded below your comment, I was running at the 540 rpm PTO speed marked out on the tach. I was planning on slowing down as the brush got thicker, and if you watch the video closely you can see I stop twice very briefly. Those two spots were where I was downshifting from 3-2 and...
That looks like some great seat time, especially with the weather a bit cloudy like that!
I did wind up having the bucket much closer to the ground, about 5 or 6 on average. I'd taken this video just before I discovered the benefits of a low bucket.
It had been a year or two since this 2 acre field was mowed. Blackberries and white oaks had popped up everywhere, but our 72-hour L2501 with 6' Land Pride rotary cutter put it to bed in about 2 1/2 hours.
Spent most of the time in 3rd Low, but in most of the thicker dry grass, blackberry and...
Only if it's at risk of becoming road debris. My dealer took mine off and had me put it in the truck when I picked it up, since it just slides into a tapered bracket on my ROPS.
Are you still running with the 2.5" hole in the tank? This sounds a lot like a plugged tank vent causing vacuum to develop in the tank as fuel is withdrawn, limiting flow until it fails to run. If still running with the 2.5" hole, that theory is null.
Maybe it's a combination. You could be...
I had this happen about once a year on my old L185DT. The thing that freed it up was a bit of lubricant in that exact spot, where the shaft passes through the case into the brake housing. It would seize up more if I didn't use the tractor for several weeks during the winter, but after a week or...
I didn't hear about it being an option in the manual or from the dealer, just the rears. I did have them load the rears up. I actually got to drive it on the dealer's lot before they were done with setting it up, and wow does loaded tires make a difference.
I didn't spring for the SSQA loader option, since I haven't needed it in the 7 years I've been on this property with the old L185. So I got the pin-on bucket.
I've been practicing getting the loader disconnect/reconnect process smoothed out, but I agree it's a lot less fiddling around to leave...
