    Small Hydraulic Fluid Leak

My RK55 leaks in the same place. I checked into having it fixed under warranty but do to lack of help they said they would have to have it for several months. They tried to blame it on not checking the torque of the bolts but I did not find any loose. I am adding 1/2 to 1 quart of hydraulic...

    3rd function, pressure can't connect

I had the same issue. found an article that said to cover the flat surface with a rag the tap it with a hammer. It releases the pressure and they go together nice. I was gun shy at first about hitting it with a hammer but was tired of fitting it every time. works great for me.

Replacing John Deere 790 duel clutch

Shifting to a higher gear is fine but to go lower you need to stop first.

Replacing John Deere 790 duel clutch

My JD tractor was assembled in Japan with Korean parts. My dealer stocks almost nothing. They have tried to charge me as much as $65 for a single bolt. To replace my clutch they want over $6,000 which is more than my tractor is worth and with my model and serial they are not even sure what...

Replacing John Deere 790 duel clutch

I do all my own mechanical work but have never done a clutch replacement. So any advice would be greatly appreciated. Are the after market clutch plates comparable to the OEM? Where is the best place to purchase a clutch kit? I know JD dealers are good but they want an arm and a leg for parts...

Interesting conversation with a Ram technician at dealer service dept.

That is amazing. You are very fortunate to have a great dealer. I have a 2018 Ram diesel that I purchased new. It has been back more times than I can count. Was there 3-5 days almost every time and it only has 45,000 miles on it. Has been electronics or pollution devices most of the time...

    electrical trouble shooting

update. Found a couple of issues. Was having trouble getting good readings because of a corroded connection where the ground from the battery connected to the frame. Then I was using a clamp on amp meter to try and find any leakage but since that only went down to .1 amps it didn't pick...

    electrical trouble shooting

I'm sure your smoke is coming from Canada but I am in Florida by a 10,000 acre forest and they do control burns on different parts every year. We will get a lot of smoke for a few days then it clears until they start another.

    electrical trouble shooting

The alternator is 3 years old. The belt is tight. That was the first thing I checked. I will check out the alternator later today or tomorrow depending on how bad the smoke is from controlled burns going on in our area.

    electrical trouble shooting

I have a little John Deere 790. Battery keeps going dead. I replace the battery a month ago with an Interstate battery thinking that was my issue but it still goes dead in a weeks time. I checked the alternator. It is putting out 3 amps at idle and 16 amps at the suggested running speed. My...

    Pick Up Bed Liners

I've had both Rhino and Line X. I was pretty rough on both but the Line X seemed to hold up a lot better.

    Educate me

If you get a good instructor it is well worth it. If nothing else you will learn about the different types of welders and what would work best for you. When it comes to welding it's practice, practice & practice. Some scrap metal to practice on can be your best friend.

    Bad Day for Pole Barn

when you get ready to clean it up I highly recommend a boom. If you have a Home Depot rental near by you can rent a tow behind one pretty reasonable and take it down in small sections. Just take your time and think before you cut.
