I use Franklin Electric Pumptec in my cistern. It was originally installed in my (now failed) well because the pump pushed more water than the well could produce, so this device would shut off the pump when the "well ran dry" which was everytime.
Now it's in my cistern to protect the pump in...
Go for it, my 1533 handles a six-footer no problem. I cut rough farm fields with it, knocking down 1 1/2" saplings and bushes in addition to hood high grass.
It's great because the cutter is wider than the tractor wheels (and wider than a 5 footer)

I did exactly that, except I didn't miss. My wife's car, which I have her park outside now so that the tractor can be in the garage made it even worse for me to have to tell her. I contemplated not saying anything, seriously contemplated, but wanted to do the right thing.

I upgraded from a Craftsman GT5000 garden tractor to a Mahindra 1533. The 1533 gave us access to our land.
After cutting the lawn, I moved on to cutting/clearing brush and we had us a nice evening igniting the burn pile from the scraps.
