Sizing floor joists, and thickness and type of plywood sheeting?

I primarily use these in the five homes I have built and shop mezzanine. Straighter, lighter and will accept larger holes the solid wood.

Advice on building a tractor shed?

Deer and elk. I play that game as well having hundreds of square miles of Weyerhaeuser and other timber companies surrounding our narrow valley. Throw in an occasional bear and cougar for spice. :) My retirement age was 53. 71 now. Whittle away at stuff but remember along the way to build what...

Advice on building a tractor shed?

I have multiple sheds for various uses. All are pole type using PT 6x6's. I build forms so that I can pour 18" to 24" concrete walls surrounding three sides. Three side walls are 2x4 with metal exterior over concrete stem walls. I use rebar in the concrete through holes drilled in the 6x6's. I...

What do you have for a first aid/trauma kit?

You could use a manual blood pressure cuff and just maintain it above the systolic pressure. Ya, on the neck wound. :)

What do you have for a first aid/trauma kit?

Speaking as a 56 year first responder, the best thing you can do is take a GOOD first aid class from a knowledgeable trauma responder. I have never cared for the classes given by someone who took a class and then became an instructor, who has never actually seen true trauma and death events.

What do you have for a first aid/trauma kit?

I got my hip replaced and they glued me shut. No stitches.

    Driveway wireless camera / alarm

I use a magnetic loop sensor. Only sounds a chime in the house 2000' away for metallic objects that cross nearby. It is buried under the driveway. If I used an IR sensor the deer would drive me crazy.

What is good in trailer tires?

I do the same. I have three towing trucks so any type of electronic setup would be challenging. Those point and shoot thermometers work well.

    Laser Level Accuracy

Mine shuts down if it is beyond the ability to self level. I also check mine against a water level at about 75'. Set one end of the water level at the laser then go about 75' away and compare. I have never tried going 90 degrees to the first check though. Perhaps I should but I would think it...

Frozen Throughout bearing on Kubota L2250DT

Best of luck. Keep us apprised of your progress. It looks like pictures of some sort of linkage from the Titanic.

Frozen Throughout bearing on Kubota L2250DT

Have you sprayed all of the joints with penetrating oil and GENTLY tapped the linkage back and forth to see if you can get any movement. Being careful not to burn up your tractor, you might also try some heat where the linkage goes through any metal.

Frozen Throughout bearing on Kubota L2250DT

See if you can back off the clutch adjustment to create free play in the clutch linkage assembly. It might be a process of elimination to get to the source of the issue. Before I split a tractor, I would eliminate every other possibility.

Frozen Throughout bearing on Kubota L2250DT

If the clutch disc is stuck the throw out bearing should still release and get movement. Do you have an inspection plate on the right side of the bellhousing where you can adjust the two stage clutch? Did it work correctly when you last parked it? Clutch release and apply appropriately? A seized...

Add-a-Circuit for Jamming New Stuff into Fuse Boxes

Is this to be switched with the ignition or hot all the time? If hot all the time, just add what bcp suggests. If it is to be switched by ignition, perhaps there is an alternative like a relay that can be added to a switched circuit and control a higher draw circuit by bcp's method directly off...
