Since I've only owned my B7100 for a month now and never having used diesel before. How do I tell if (or when) my fuel is gelled? Can I look in the fuel tank? or is it more of a "it won't start in the dead of winter" thing?

Alright, Someone want to clue me in on which way my rear tires mount? Does the spring tensioner (that tightens to the axle) go on the inside of the rim (nearer the differentail) or does it go on the outside ? (same side as the lug nuts). Mine is on the inside but it looks like the service manual...
Based on the advice you guys gave me the other day I've picked up the thrust bearings for my steering shaft. The replacement looks pretty simple but since I do not have my service manual yet ... is there anything I have to look out for? any tips? and what is the procedure for shimming?
