    Trailer Tires

Funny story.. my fifth wheel came with Carlisle... I swapped them out because I didn't want those junk tires to ruin a nice weekend. A friend of mine asked if he could have them... sure. One weekend I borrowed his dump trailer.... KABOOM.. blown tire. Guess what he put those Carlisles on? lol

This thread makes me glad all my property lines are either a road or family.

    Investments strategy with new administration?

So who uses an advisor vs self management? I recently inherited an account, along with an advisor. I still have my own accounts which I have always done myself, and now I'm trying to compare, though at this point I only have 4 months to compare against. My account is 2 ETFs and 3 stocks. The...

    How many lumens?

They all lie about their lumens! :D I have used Nilight brand LED's from Amazon for a couple different projects, including lights on my tractor. I have been happy with the results. So far, they have been reliable and put out good bright light with a nice even pattern.

    Nuclear fallout information

Fortunately for me I live in a purple triangle. I can only hope it happens while I sleep and I'm blissfully unaware of the impending doom. Of course they're probably send stupid warnings to all our cell phones to make sure we're awake.. jerks.

Anyone here donate Real Estate for charitable deduction and how did it work out?

It's encouraging that the mayor and DA were voted down. But I don't expect the replacements to be much better. Hopefully it's not an out of the frying pan into the fire deal. This last election offered glimmers of hope, but too little too late.

Anyone here donate Real Estate for charitable deduction and how did it work out?

I think things were better when government was just a bit afraid of us and not run by a bunch of activists. Planning departments need to take their utopian dreams to the corner and sit down and shut up.

    Compact Tractors W/ Grapple

A grapple is the whole reason I started considering a tractor. I saw one being used and decided it would be incredibly useful. And it has been. Loaders usually come with a bucket but a dealer may be willing to deal. My grapple is on the tractor 95% of the time but I wouldn't want to not have a...

Working rail roads and their tracks.

Took my Grandkids up and rode the trains at the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum. Just a short loop around the park, but still fun to see these old trains run. Once we get up there full time, I plan to volunteer up there and help keep them going. Engine #5, built in 1875. Belonged to...

Working rail roads and their tracks.

30 years ago, I started to help him building the track. He would be the modeler, I was going to do all the mechanicals and electric. But then.. I had kids and then I moved and my business expanded... and life happens. I still have one of the train tables I built. It's in the garage holding up...

Working rail roads and their tracks.

My father passed away earlier this year, then my step-mom passed in August. So now we're cleaning out the house. It's been been a real process as they lived in the house for almost 40 years. But it's also a bit of a treasure hunt. About 30 years ago my father got into model trains. Found his...

Is the Cyber Truck a Flop?

Starting to see them on a daily basis around here. I have yet to see one doing "truck stuff" but oh well, to each their own. I can hope that something good will come from it all in future developments. Sometime it takes a weirdo to do something different to get us to the next step of doing...

    Covid again !!

My wife and I both managed to dodge it up till the 4th of July. My daughter came to visit with my twin grandsons almost 1 year old. And brought it with them.. we all got it, none of us had any big trouble other than disrupting work for a week but I'm able to work from home pretty effectively...

Question for those who live in California

Hmm, that doesn't seem an "unincorporated area" to me. It's not even a busy area. Maybe too many drunks leaving the bowling alley? Who knows.
