The tractor I have is a '55 Ford 850, my Dad purchased it in '79 and I a short time started taking care of the repairs and the expense on it so it could be technically both ours, he was killed in '88 (job accident) and shortly after that everything went to "**** in a hand basket" you might say the tractor got put to the side along with the place, I would mess with the tractor from time to time but would soon loose interest, it's been sitting for at least 6 years now on flat tires and all, been really wanting to get it going back again for the last 2 yrs. but just didn't have the money but I would go out off & on and turn it over a few turns by hand, well about 2mths ago 1st of Oct., 2 of my sisters and their families said they were going to move out here with us on the land, and my baby sister said they would help with the cost of getting it running if I would get the tractor going and mow and start clearing the section of land they are going to move on so I got excited and got my butt in gear and after 3wks of HARD work & a lot of words of encouragement it's running and I should be putting it to work by the 13th of Nov 2013
