bad oil pump on a 2025 Subaru

quite a range of thoughts. I believe it's the 2.5 l The dealer said we would get a 10 year/100k mi "curtesy warrantee extension" for anything related to the oil pump. But nothing in writing... They already pulled the oil pan so I don't have the oil for testing.

bad oil pump on a 2025 Subaru

Hi folks, We bought our first new car in 40 years. At 9000 miles, check engine lights came on while on the road. Lucky for us there was a Subaru dealer nearby. They couldn't look at it until the next day. After 2-1/2 hours, they said it was all fine now. Drove 200 miles back home. The next...

    Lost 22% of our IRA/401Ks/Investments

My investments are needed for future living expenses, for the next 30 years. But if safe bonds have a return of 4% and double in 18 years, vs. S&P with average 10% returns and 7.2 years to double, you are leaving a lot on the table. The crash in 2000 did take a long time to recover......

    Lost 22% of our IRA/401Ks/Investments

one thing I never understood was the idea as we get older we should be conservative in our investments. Or have 1 year living expenses in cash. This is to prepare for a future down turn. I'm 65 and we are 95%+ aggressive. With S&P based funds doubling in value every 7.2 years, all the extra...

    Hydroponic Tower Gardening

I stuck a 4 inch pvc drain pipe in the ground like a post. packed with potting soil and poked green beans in each hole. I left room at the top to hold some water to seep down. We had a big garden so it was just for fun.

    Backhoe project anyone?

I bought old old Ford 758 backhoe many years ago to rebuild. It's a small one and was on and 8N. I never got around to it. The hydraulic lines are shot and the pins are real sloppy. The control valves were also shot and gone now. The cylinders would need some work or replaced. anyone want it at...

    Addicted to Amazon

Scootr, I'm an hobbyist stone carver. I buy diamond tools on Amazon and they are cheep but do a great job. I use diamond core drilling bits for clean bulk removal. I use water on an old drill press. Likely, not best for every day construction, I will never ware one out drilling in marble and...

Dehumidifier - Error code E6, Midea "Cube"

We have a whole house dehumidifier. AprilAir 96 pint tied in the HVAC system. It lasted 12 years and had a leak in the coolant. Replaced myself. By keeping the house dry, the AC can be set at 75 deg and feel great.

    Making friends?

neighbors can be a pain. We have just one house close by. Previous owner like to communicate via a lawyer. They sold and new neighbor is great. It started with a tree down on her property and I mentioned I would cut it up and push it in the woods for her. It was a small job with my tractor...

1 old man, with all that rain, it will be a great crawfish season next year. It was dry last year and crawfish were expensive and hard to find.
