    Don't over think it. Cast oil pans have variable capacity more so than stamped. That said, manufacturers tend to indicate a "safe" range on the dipstick to accommodate that range. As long as you are within the range you are good. Also, does the dipstick screw into the tube? It probably...

    At one time I had a Curtis blade. I'd drop the loader bucket and install the Curtis blade, hook up the hydraulic tilt and angle cylinders (if I wanted to have that ability, or leave them off if manual angle was good enough). Depending on my needs, either way was great.

    i've had a Gravely ZTX 52" for 10 years and so far so good. My grounds are a bit rough so I mow a little slower and it only takes about an hour per cut. I've figured out belt replacement so I don't have to drop the deck (it's not really a big deal). Overall I'm quite satisfies with it.

    I think that it is the "Time Value of Money". By buying later you must make up the difference of the money earned since the first opportunity to buy vs the later opportunity to buy. It's like buying an appreciated bond a couple of years after issue, you have to buy the accumulated interest...

    It likely is a 1985 model. All the component date codes and the unit code are September. I think that I saw a part number prefix of E5NN which would be a 1985 design level part. That is how I arrive at it being a 1985 vintage.
