Final update: McMaster-Carr somehow got the O-rings to me in 1 day! I put the new ones on, they're definitely a firmer material. Torqued to 38ft/lbs, and have since done about 15hrs of brush hogging, without any issues. I did not get the new connector part (yet), but I did take some 400 grit...
