    STIHL MS500i

Love the saw. No matter what the job i seem to be grabbing the 500 even if its smaller. Only "complaint" is the air filter seems to get clogged up with dust and chips pretty quick. Only property use for me so its not a big deal to bring it in after a few tanks and blow off with the compressor.

Agree on the totes. They are hard to find around here lately. Last source I purchased from said they havent seen any in ~6 months. And they are not near as cheap here either!

Came across an excellent free find on craigslist. Full 16 foot dump trailer load of dead ash logs. They even loaded them into the trailer for me. What came out was the smaller pile. Hard to pass up even if I dont NEED the wood.

    NX4510 Mirror Mount Bracket Failure

Hello all, Just noticed this on my tractor last week. Ive had the tractor 2 years and 2 months. I was surprised the mirror and mount would cause a failure like this. The only thing I ever "stressed" the mount with was a pair of hearing protection muffs. Dealer said that part was only under...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

Helped the neighbor out last week. They do not own a tractor or capable mower to take care of their property (Long story short he says another neighbor "screwed: him out of trading for his tractors for labor owed on a project. Pretty sad if true). Their field looked like this two years ago...

My operation isn't near some of your guys, but here are some pictures. Need to get what is split stacked so it can dry, but I am in no rush because of all the rain everyone else seems to be getting, plus I have plenty for this/next year already stacked. I did moved some of the uncut logs...

Found some time to get splitting what I have gathered or cut down this winter. Had some help from the dogs, they like to eat the scraps or chew on a knot. One of them even found a cat and brought it to me. The other dog found something to cut his rear leg pretty good.

    Tree ID Help 2.0

Hello again, Back with another ID help request. I have been told by multiple people, including here, that this tree is a black locust. Recently I was told that it could be a red elm. The twigs seem to match what comes up on google images for red elm, but the grain and color inside of the...

    3pt wood splitter modification question

Hello all, I have been using an old, over sided ram splitter that was given to me by the FIL. I would like to try and speed things up for my one man operation of wood processing. Running this thing off the rear remotes is time consuming and painfully slow. Wondering how I can add an auto...

    Tree ID help

WOW! That would be an exciting and lasting experience. What did you have made? Feel free to share, I do not mind. I have always wanted to re learn an instrument. I took lessons in elementary school, kicking myself for not sticking with one. Found this more solid looking cherry today.

You are right. That was the last cut of the day, so I didn't even pay attention to the quality. Think I found another in the first two pictures. Do you know what the third picture species is?
