    Ground hornets!

I think I'd put on some pants and a $50 bee jacket if I had to do some tractor work where I suspected trouble. I'd rather sweat than get tons of stings.

That AI response agrees with everything I have learned. Pre-diabetes is NOT healthy. You should not be happy with fasting BG levels above 100. I have heard from many doctors that really don't like the way diabetes is being handled, even type 1. Just the other day, a doctor with type 1 was...

The body runs on ATP. The calories in food are not all the same for converting to ATP. You actually don't need carbohydrates. That is important to remember in terms of diet, especially if you're diabetic or developing insulin resistance. I don't remember all the processes, but I saw a...

Long term the effects are bad. Sugar should be used only in extreme moderation. Don't fool yourself. An A1c of 6.0 is not healthy long term. (Do keep in mind the test is only about +/-0.5 accuracy) Excessive carbohydrates causes inflammation in the body. We get use to it. If you are...

What kind of tree is this?

I know someone with that disease, but you certainly describe different systems. They have found that low sodium keeps it at bay. Their systems are just very quick onset of debilitating migraines and feeling sick to their stomach. If they get that they are out of commission for several hours.

I find it a little easier to eat a real early dinner and then eat nothing until the next morning. Since switching to a ketogenic diet several years ago, I've learned to eat just to maintain weight, but fasting for 16+ hours of the day certainly helps my numbers.

What kind of tree is this?

Well, I'm glad the tree didn't get you. Not sure of what condition you may have. Clearly a circulatory issue, but good to know the engine is clean.

    Medical Cost

Anyone ever consider MDVIP? Most of their doctors are full and have a waiting list, but it's intriguing. The doctors are more independent and more traditional. You pay a yearly fee for them, but they limit the number of patients so you can actually get in to see them when needed. I've found...

How to rid huge barn of birds?

We have always welcomed them. We have three nest in our barn and the only poop that we notice are under those nest. I assume that it's the same birds returning each year. If I wanted to get rid of them, I'd do it in the fall when the birds have left. I love seeing them swoop down over the...

    Baby Deer

He is my discovery. It was so still, that I move around a little to see an eyelash move. I found it interesting that I wasn't seeing it breathe.

    Baby Deer

I had the same. I was in our pasture with my 3 dogs looking for a shoe. The dogs never saw the deer. I never would have if I wasn't actively looking for a horse shoe.

Be aware that the test accuracy is about ±0.5, so really not much change. I had mine vary 0.4 in one week, which demonstrated the accuracy as A1c is a measurement considered a 3 month look back. I'd still encourage you to improve that number. Some doctors "accept" things getting worse as we...

I'll use the Lilly's brand, but the program that I'm on actually says 90% dark is fine. Just watch the quantity. I actually like the 90% now. I often have it with coconut oil. Tastebuds certainly change.

Interesting. The CGMs are looking at the intra cellular BG unlike the finger pricks. The instructions suggest the accuracy of the CGMs is almost as good as the finger prick, but says the readings may be about 15minutes delayed to the finger prick.
