Anyone know why Massey changed gears in frnt axle from 11/33 to 12/34? (That would be the shaft to gear number of teeth). Wondering if stronger or lower ratio?

I have a Massey 1035 4x4 w/fel and it has been a great tractor with little or no problems. If anyone has any info to share concerning stuff about it or just wants to talk tractor that would be ok. I wonder what backhoe is good for it and have located a MF1075 which I am guessing will work fine...
