My first summer jobs were landscaping, yard maintenance and mowing when I was 9 years old. The first things I ever drove were lawn & garden tractors and later a Farmall offset tractor. Many years later, like many people, I still have yards to maintain. I find my riding mower and Ford tractors to be almost indispensable. While I had rather be picking music, fishing, hunting or playing with my ham radio gear, the equipment/tools I have acquired over the years helps to speed up the DIY projects and reduce the costs of maintenance so I can have more time to spend doing the other hobbies I enjoy. However, having tools also help the wife to dream up new projects that without the proper tools, I would never have had to done to start with. So having the right tools can be a double edged sword.
I also enjoy picking music, DIY projects, computers, ham radio, motorcycles, fishing and shooting
