    Ford 600 hydraulics...

I have a Ford 600 (640 model). Other than converting it over to 12v negative ground, it seems to be pretty stock. My question is about adding hydraulics. I'm not planning on adding a frontend loader but was simply wondering if the two accessible ports on the hydraulic pump, can be configured...

    unsynchronized transmission

Ouch! I'm looking at a brake job for it sometime this year. I bought the shoes, just have to muster up the desire to tackle the job.

    unsynchronized transmission

5030, I understand! I had an older Suzuki with a 4 speed hydraulic clutch. I only used it to start out with too. I would also listen to the sound of the engine and even down shift without the clutch. Again, not hot-rodding it just driving it.

    unsynchronized transmission

I do know the tractor should be stopped before shifting gears and\or started out in the gear the operator would be using. At times I have thought I should have used a higher gear, as the one I chose first was too low. I have always stopped and shifted to another gear. I was just wondering...

    unsynchronized transmission

I have a Ford 600 Series 640 Model tractor. I believe it is a 1954/1955 Model Year. I've had it for about 3 years, changed all the fluids and converted it to a 12 volt system when I got it. The reason for the conversation, was the generator was not working and it needed a battery. The cost of...

How do you store you logging/tow chain?

Thomas, The hole(s) in my support arms of the FEL of my BX25 were already there, and very easy to get at. I did not have to remove anything. In the pictures I attached, I tried to show how I attached the PVC pipe. There was only one hole on each side. If you can't make out how I attached mine...

    Tractor canopies

I have watched this thread for some time and have been quite impressed by the ideas everyone has come up with. I am a new tractor owner, having a little over 200 hours on my first one. I have been looking at fabricating a canopy for my little BX25DBL, as a store bought one is priced way to high...

    A few simple mods.

I wanted a way to carry a shovel. This is the only way I could figure out to carry it. Granted, I have to remove the shovel when I use the back hoe, but I have to get off of the tractor to operate it any way, so I don't see it as a big inconvenience.

How do you store you logging/tow chain?

Thomas, I'm going to try to post a reply only once this time. My apologies for my double post previously. Anyway, I looked up some images of your tractor and mine. I found the FEL supports to be different. Different enough to where I am better able to understand your puzzlement. Below is a...

How do you store you logging/tow chain?

I had seen this idea posted on this site before, PVC pipe fashioned to carry chain. I liked the idea, so I modified it to suit my needs. I have a BX25, a small tractor, and while I may not have a use for the amount of logging chain as some, I quickly realized the use for chain in most any...

    Greetings

A first time tractor owner and new to this forum. I have a BX25DBL with 90 hours on it so far. I am amazed at what this little powerhouse can do. I have looked at quite a few threads and have gotten some very good pointers and suggestions. There is a wealth of knowledge here and I appreciate...
