    Another mouse rant...

Anyone tried 'Repels-All' by Bonide? It kept critters from my corn this year and more recently I've had small birds going into my truck grill and tire wells and leaving droppings. The Repel I sprayed down inside the truck grill and in the wheel wells has seemed to have kept the birds away. I may...

    Water filter operation.

From the manual.... https://whirlpoolwaterfiltration.com/index.php/download/whkf-dwhv-manual/ Where the manual shows a wrench being used I'm guessing it takes a bit of beef to turn the handle. Do you have the handle which is also used to remove the filter housing?

    Medical Cost

My wife and I got COVID in Dec '24 (I'm 76, wife 71). Our PCP recommended not getting Paxlovid as the strain that was circulating was usually mild and she suggested just riding it out unless the symptoms got worse. I just checked my insurance coverage cost (CVS/Silverscript part D drug plan) for...

what on earth does electricity cost near you?

Over the years I've maintained a spreadsheet of electricity usage and cost. In 2009 our oil fired water heater failed and I installed an electric one (conventional with heating elements) to replace it. The kWh rate in the spreadsheet is a total of the combined supply and distribution rates. Two...

Kohler Engines for Small Equipment.... Might Be Going Away

I've had Kohler engines in a few lawn mowers and snow equipment over the years and they've been about the best I've owned and parts when needed were usually pretty available. It appears Kohler engines has been bought out and the future of the Kohler small engines is questionable.

An uncomfortable conversation. Don't suffer in silence! Embarrassing!

My Doctor of 20+ years started doing the digital prostate check yearly when I was about 50 years old (I'm 76 presently). I've had a mildly enlarged prostate through the years and he also had a PSA check done along with the finger poke. My Doctor retired in 2022 and his practice went to two...

    Low voltage code on dishwasher.

Would the location lend itself to putting an outlet in the box and a plug on the dishwasher cord. I did this and it provides a means to disconnect the dishwasher if needed. I've done wire nuts on solid to stranded, but prefer to avoid it if I can.

3 point lever really hard to move, and I bent it - 2014 Mahindra Max 22

Watching this thread...... I have a 2216 with a 3pt hitch lever that also seems to have gotten harder operate, but not to the point where it might bend. It did seem to loosen up after using it, but it's still not like it was when the tractor was new. I did spray some lube around the moving...
