    Cleaning lawn of branches

Are the gears/teeth on the wheels plastic and metal chain drive? Regardless, they accomplish alot of work.

    Cleaning lawn of branches

Oh and I pull mine with a regular style riding mower, I've used a honda Big Red 3 wheeler as well so if you dont have a smaller piece of equipment to pull it that may be a trade off also.

    Cleaning lawn of branches

Mine is a Craftsman 42" but is 20+ years old so I dont know if there are models based on it still or not. I was looking at an Ohio Steele one a year ago or so that looked well made(IMO). I haven't checked reviews but will when I get another. I think height adjustability is key and how much...

    Cleaning lawn of branches

The widely branching stick wont clog it, it actually helps it to get picked up as it has more surface area to grab. You dont know me from Adam so you don't have much to put faith in except my experience. You will be impressed with the results and at such a small price. You can adjust the height...

    Cleaning lawn of branches

This pile was started roughly 8 years ago and the last 3-4 years has been added to very little with most of what's picked up being hauled to a fill spot on my dad's property. Roughly 30 ft long with one end about 6' high and low end 3 '. I would say 90% of it was picked up by the lawn sweeper...

    Cleaning lawn of branches

@WinterDeere the post by @GeneV has your answer IMO. I've lived in the same house the last 23 years with at one time over 50 pine trees. Bought a Craftsman sweeper that I've used for 22 years and it does more work than any kid you're ever gonna know and will pick up sticks, cones, twigs, leaves...

    Comer LF-135A Rotary Mower Gearbox

Picked up an older rotary mower for a couple hundred bucks that I know needed some cracks welded and bolts to the gearbox/deck tightened....but it did have a new back wheel :D Anywho, I suspected it would probably need seals. After welding cracked reinforcements, cracked areas around gearbox...

    Murray Mower Repower

I've had a project waiting under the barn and getting to it now. Tecumseh 13hp exploded years ago. Recently picked up a 15.5hp Briggs for $100 off craigslist. Its bolted up with belts on and will work out the muffler issues later. Murray's electrical wiring still intact and have the wiring...

    Household Well Water Pump Troubles

Looks like I might need to replace the bladder in my Sears Captive air tank, 36 gallon and about 10 years old. Pumps been coming on sooner than should and I've noticed air in the faucets( say if flush a toilet pump is on immediately. I haven't noticed any water coming out thru air valve on tank...

    Large Shed Move

Have been working with a guy to take a shed off his hands. I'ts 12wx24Lx12'8"H. Too long & heavy for my dad's 16ft trailer, so the only guy around that could do it needs me to remove the roof. Will have to cut out the apex of the truss as well to lower it. I'm hoping to just remove the...

New Holland T2410 rear work light

Decided just to use a simple bracket attachment rather than buying the bracket sold for the tractor. Not much to look at but hopefully it'll do. All connections soldered, taped and shrinktubed. Wired into lines made for worklight. Think I'll get one for other side too, may go with a high mount...

    Drilling Stone for Fireplace Mantle

I have a large piece of red oak I cut on an alaskan mill with the intentions of putting up a mantle. It's massive now and will still be massive by the time it's cut down to about 7 1/2 ft by about 16 in wide. It's 3" thick. The idea is to drill the stones to mount some anchors or do large...

    4010 Marvel Schebler Carb Swap

Hey everybody, I've searched the forums with no luck...tried everything from a to z. So thought I'd just post the question in case I got the right viewer with all the answers. I would like to swap out my Marvel Schebler to a Zenith carburetor. No matter how much cleaning/rebuilding/parts...

Decided to use Standing Seam Metal Roofing

Have a small 800 sq. foot house which the roof comes out to about 10 sq. Pretty straight fwd gable roof, no hips or valleys, no dormers, no skylights, no chimney. Two 2 inch air vents in the back, one small transition for the front porch, pitch is probably 3.5/12. Its an old house that has had...
