Tree Removal with BH and Grapple

Thanks Marcel, The teeth on the edge of the grapple really do a nice job when raking. When I first bought the grapple I was a little worried that it wouldn't be stout enough compared to the larger grapples I've seen. It is actually very strong, although I wouldn't mind a bigger mouth on it...

Tree Removal with BH and Grapple

My neighbor needed a dead tree removed from his yard and I was more than happy to help him. There's been debate about cutting down trees first and then removing the stump, but I tried Eddie Walker's technique of removing the tree and stump all together with my BH. Worked like a champ. Obed...

    my TC45DA runs hot, ideas

Brian, Are you saying that your "drop rate knob" below the seat (see the attached pdf for a visual) is full CW and the 3ph still slams down? Full CCW should let 3ph lower real fast .......Full CW should make the 3ph take an eternity to lower.

    Chipper Jinma chippers

Okay Jack, here are the promised pics: Building the brush pile with my Bull Grapple. Brush pile partially reduced. Size of chips when knive to anvil distance was about 1/4". Size of chips when knive were set 0.02" (book says 0.01-0.03") If possible, don't chip green wood...

Chipper PTO shaft slip clutch for Jinma chipper?

Bob, When i first hooked up my Jinma to my NH TC40DA I thought I might have a similar problem that you had. The two adjustable bars that hold the lower 3ph pins on the chipper would hit a bolt head when trying to push the bars back far enough for the PTO shafts to have enough overlap. I...

Backhoe Best procedure for taking Backhoe off?

Mike, I guess you don't have any documentation on this. I have a Woods BH90-X and am not sure what differences there are with your NH BH, but I suspect they're similar. I've attached the Woods pages that discuss how my BH is mounted and removed, hope that gives you some help. This is a...

    Floppy tilt steering wheel

Andy, are you saying that the friction block is not holding the steering column solid? Or is the problem when you release the friction, the small gas shock absorber isn't doing it's job? I've attached the parts breakdown in pdf to help.

3rd function / diverter valve location

Wow! You do good work Kenny! That was a very nice set up you did. I guess I didn't go back far enough in my search of TBN for an FEL diverter valve mount. (did read all 3400+ threads on the NH op/own though  ) Just like the Kubota's, the NH TC's don't have enough clearance to mount the...

3rd function / diverter valve location

There have been many threads about the merits of installing either a 3rd function kit or a diverter valve to enhance your FEL's capability. When we bought our TLB, we decided to power our grapple via a 3rd function kit from our rear remote, since we wanted a rear remote anyways, and control our...

    Game Cam pictures

Eddie, This showed up in the news this weekend. Thought you'd like it. (The boy used a .50-cal revolver. This is another reason it's good to have a BH, haul off your new Hogzilla. :D ) In this photo released by Melynne Stone, Jamison Stone, 11, poses with a wild pig he killed near Delta...
