setting top link on 1735m and a Brush Hog

I do have a little slack in the top link though it may not be very obvious. You can see in the photo that the mower's top hitch is not completely straight indicating some top link slack. The design of the mower's top hitch does allow for float similar to a chain. I have it set with the gauge...

setting top link on 1735m and a Brush Hog

With my 1635, I usually use the bottom hole for the top link. I raise the mower to my desired cutting height and then lengthen or shorten the top link until the mower is level. My mower gives me the best cut when I adjust it this way.

Idea for tools box and chainsaw holder

I have the same problem as the OP as the design of my Massey is very similar to his. No room on the back when the backhoe is on and the loader means an up-front tool box doesn't work well. I have an old John Deere tool box that I have had for over 20 years. It mounts on a bracket that bolts to...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

The local power company has been replacing poles in one of my pastures. They were kind enough to leave me a few old poles which I plan to use when put up another pole shed at some point. My diverter was dealer installed and on the tractor when I bought it so I can't give you much more information than the photos. There is a power plug near the loader hydraulic connections that I unplug if I take the loader off. I shut the tractor off and release any hydraulic pressure to make my...

Front-End Loader Kubota or aftermarket loader for my L3200?

I had a Bush Hog brand 2246 quick attach loader that I added to my Kubota. It was a great loader that was trouble-free the 10 years I owned the tractor. I bought it from a local dealer and installed it myself which was fairly easy. They make several sizes to fit different HP tractors.

    Saying Hi from Central Virginia

I have enjoyed reading about other folks projects and great ideas here on the forum so I thought it was about time to say hi. I have recently retired and bought a new-to-me Massey Ferguson 1635 to help me clean up my place here in the hills in the shadow of the Blue Ridge. I am excited about...
