1st priority: work with tractor
2nd priority: keep radiator and air filter blown out and clean
3rd priority: always change oil and filter on schedule
4th: keep other maintenance completed on manufacturers schedule
If there is any time left, wash mud off tractor. Wash mud sooner if needed to...
Are you trying to lift at idle speed? You will need to have engine running half throttle or more to get good lift force. Higher rpm gives more hydraulic force.
Look at Del Morino. I have one for my subcompact, great quality. They make models for larger tractors also. Flail mower is a great choice for the job you described.
If you have the hydraulics, consider side shift and tilt functions
The Massey is a great choice and will serve you well. I have had my GC1720 over 3 years, 328 hours, and no problems. Mid mount mower is easy to remove and attach after the first couple of times. Be sure to get a quick attach front loader!
I have a clay and a larger garden, and the 4 ft...
I just talked to the dealer maintenance manager.
The steering piston rod is bent, allowing leakage by the cylinder seals. The cylinder will have to be replaced. I likely hit a small stump working on a deer feed plot, or working on a new trail for my wife to walk in our woods.

Mounts seem fine. No leaks.
Steering is loose both directions, no change in the motor or noise when the wheel is turned past a certain point, and minimum resistance to turning when wheels reach the max turn radius.
I dropped the tractor at my dealer this afternoon, fortunately he is only 8...
I will update when I know more.
It may be next week, as I will be helping a neighbor dairy farmer with cutting silage. He just came home from serious cancer surgery and cutting starts this week.
My GC1720 (219 hours, 3 yrs) has developed a steering problem. It does not turn as sharply to the left, and the steering wheel has little resistance when the wheels reach full left or right turn position. I can easily continue to turn the steering wheel.
The fluid appears at proper level in...
It has finally been dry enough to get my backhoe attached to the tractor.
It was a 5 minute job to remove the backhoe bucket and attach the RetailRems ripper tooth. Perfect fit. I was able to try the ripper on a small pine stump, works great and I look forward to some dry weather so I can...
Thanks for the follow-up. I had called DR Tech Support, and the representative told me he did not even have the dimensions/specs for the ripper tooth! Finally I received an email from DR with the attached drawing and measurements for the ripper.
Guess I will have to do some measurements on my...
I am looking for a ripper tooth for my MF CB65 backhoe. Does anyone have any experience with a DR Power ripper tooth on the CB65?
Or an alternate.
The DR ripper is currently selling for $139.99 with free shipping, but I would like to know if it fits well, works well with the CB65.
Thanks.
