The roller is not needed with the wheels. It is much more manuverable using the wheels & turns easier. Rotate the shaft, the zerk is accessable through hole in the panel. Same thing to access the zerk on the shaft from the gear box to the drive pulley.

13kw generator seems like massive over kill. Get a 5kw & a small propane generator, 2000 watts maybe. Use the larger generator when needed for well pump etc. Use the small generator as necessary to keep the refrigerator and or freezer cold. Install a wood stove for winter heat. Get a good supply...
I have a pretty early model & it is on the left side. I see a image where it looks like it is on the right side. I know it is on the left side on mine as I replaced it while doing a kit to fix hydraulic cavitation in the steering system. Maybe it is different on the newer models?
I see that one of the other responders did not like using a splitter in the vertical mode, something that I share. If you fit into that category also I strongly recommend a splitter that is big enough that you can comfortably work with it while standing erect, not having to bend over a bit...
I had a similar problem with a Kubota B2710. It was caused by cavitation in the hydraulic system. Kubota had a fix that consisted of a kit to relocate the return line from the power steering. Fixed it!
While location & climate etc. are nice, I think the people you connect with in a new location have the biggest impact on the satisifaction with your new location.
I've only been to Big Springs a couple of times, but I kind of liked it. I moved to Texas in 1973 from Michigan. I haven't regreted it for a second. Ended up in Ft. Davis & I plan on being here until the end.
