@Lineman North Florida thank you for posting your truck and trailer. It's interesting to know how you guys transport your equipment.
Both you and Haydude are very generous to take time to allow us to "ride along" with you during your day
We all appreciate it!
This is why I respect you, @Hay Dude
It's easy to do it in early spring, and when you are fresh at it.
Harder to do it when tired.
Definitely respect your hustle, and thank you for being generous with your time to share your experiences with us!
There are safety training videos on youtube where they take a scarecrow and lay it's arm on the PTO.
It spins and shreds that thing in seconds! Any time a new person comes around, we show them those videos. They stay back for sure!
Funny different perspectives you see, making you wonder what they are thinking when they see you running the equipment.
It's rare to see a passenger train on these rails, so I took a pic. . .
Then noticed some were taking a pic of us mowing!
If you make a pigtail to a 7 pin plug and use the hot lead (and also a ground) then your could use your inverter on any tractor, truck, or SUV that has a 7 pin harness. It would be totally portable.
I'm jealous of you Kubota guys!
Around here, all the John Deere dealers consolidated into a mega group. There is no shopping around any more if you're green.
Great advice! One thing mechanics have been saying is be careful and avoid tractors that will become an orphan. If a company changes hands and stops supporting certain models then you might have problems finding parts.
A fun story in case @haydude or any of you are looking to negotiate a quad.
As kids, my older brother found an ATV in the classifieds (this was before the internet). Brother wanted to take the ATV for a test drive but the seller was skeptical. Brother looked at me and said, "i'll leave him...
I love how my Uncle negotiated buying a baler listed at $14,000. The buyer let us know that several people had been out to look at it.
Uncle told him, "I have $12,000 with me, and then you can stop playing baler salesman."
This really helped the seller imagine the next few weeks of dealing...
@Str8 6 and @Tinhack I've enjoyed and learned from the back and forth on here.
Would you advise a person to buy a Ford 3910 for brush hogging? Found a 2600 hour, two wheel drive that appears to be in good shape.
No front loader, which is actually a plus for me as I really only want it for...
