I need an ignition module for my 1992 LX178. It's my understanding module from a 285 320 345 425 LX178 LX279 F725 F911, is the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 1992 LX178 and now the starter won't engage. It keeps blowing a 15amp fuse every time I turn on the key. I have a new battery and battery cables. I put in a new fuse, left the ignition off and jumped it at the solenoid and the solenoid just spins. Does this indicate the starter is...
LX178 Parking Brake (REVISED)
Mower set outside all winter and now I can't seem to get the parking brake to release. I've tried 6 or 7 times to reset and release to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 1998 LX178 and have just overhauled the carb. My throttle lever on the dash has always only gone forward halfway. It seems to me that's the fast idle location. Should the lever go forward all the way for chocking? If so I need to go thru the manual and adjust everything from scratch...
Is there an adjustment for the lift assst. Mine is so hard I have to nearly get off the tractor and use both hands to move the lever forward or back. I wouldn't think it should be this hard to operate.
I had a '93 LX178 given to me and I'm lookng for a source forparts. I replaced the aftermarket electric fuel pump and cleaned up some wiring. It runs full throttle OK but idle is bad. Started off with the float stuck but tapped the bowl and corrected it. I'll need a carb kit and some misc bolts...
