I have a Stihl 661C with 25" and 36" bar. It ill pull the 36" great in oak. I'm sure others will do similar but I have experience with this one and would recommend 100%.

I made one a few years ago. Used a hydraulic motor as a power source and the same bar and chain as my Stihl chainsaw. Works great.

I agree with the deadheading pump comment. For some reason the pump isn't relieving pressure when flow isn't required thus the loaded engine then no loading when flow is used to move the lift.

Looking for opinions on the CoverMyTractor.com polyethylene canopy for my 5055E. I operate in and out of tree limbs often and figured the bendable nature of poly would be more durable than fiberglass. Any of you guys running this canopy? Input please.

I ran a ground wire from the battery last night to what I think is the ground for the tach with no luck. I can't help but think it's something simple but I'm stumped. I'm not ruling out a grounding problem either.
