    DL95 Hydraulic leak help needed

I’m surprised the cylinder is that much (so was my dealer). When I was in the shop they had a larger model on the floor. That cylinder was only about $300. I was ready to have them do the work until they looked up my smaller tractor and came back with $900. I’ll look into a rebuild. Thanks.

    DL95 Hydraulic leak help needed

I’m just past the 5 years. Either way, I thought the 5yr was power train only.

    DL95 Hydraulic leak help needed

I have a GC1705 with a DL95 front end loader. One of the pistons on the FEL has a slow leak of hydraulic fluid. This has been going on for some time, but I only tracked down the cause recently. I went to my dealer and they said the only fix is to replace the piston. I was fine with that until...

GC 1705 black smoke on startup

I've seen many suggest that it is normal. If so, is there any way to avoid that big blast of black smoke when you start the engine? It's just one big puff at first, but the cloud sits there and can be pretty thick. My 1705 is kept in a garage right now. The initial blast of smoke fills the...

Pats' Quick Hitch vs Northern Tools

I have been considering a quick hitch for my scut. My only attachment at the moment is a rotary cutter, but it would be nice to simplify the connection/disconnection process when I am using the scut for other things. Originally I looked at something like the Northern Tools quick hitch. I have...

GC 1750 - tipping and other items

Used my 1705 quite a bit over the past few days for several jobs around the property. Really enjoying this machine and what it can do. Not sure I will ever get tired of finding new uses for it. Did quite bit with my rotary cutter. My property is far from level... lot's of ups and downs. It got...

    parts for GC 1705

On the GC 1705 there is a small bracket that holds the 3-pt hitch top link when not in use. Long story short... I bent mine. :) Any idea where to get a replacement? Is this something that I can continue to do without?

    storing a rotary cutter vertically

I have tow straps that could easily handle the weight. My bucket has a single tow hook. Here is a pic of the cutter I have. Where do I loop the strap for lifting? Am I strapping to the rear wheel arm? Do I look through the bracket for that arm?

    storing a rotary cutter vertically

I have a 4ft rotary cutter that I use with my MF GC1705. The cutter is big, heavy and takes up quite a bit of room when not being used. Have seen that some people store it vertically. Trying to figure out how to do this. I'm in the process of building a small barn and plan to use one or two...

    GC 1705 and drawbar

A little confused on using a drawbar with a GC1705. Don't have access to the machine now, so am unable to measure. I have some "tow behind" implements, previously used with an ATV, that I would like to connect to my 1705. These items are both "hitch pin" connections (no ball). I have seen...

    New 1705

Greetings. I just picked up a MF GC 1705 with FEL and a brush hog. Got to try it out a little and having great fun. This will definitely come in handy for work around the property. Never owned a tractor before. Never even owned a diesel engine. Am feeling like a real newbie and would love any...
