last couple of times I had my JD changed or fixed it was with beet juice. Also the comment about rusting with calcium is true as well. I'm in NJ so not super cold, but why not use it anyway.
So, I had the BX-2200 which cost $10,500 without the loader in 2003. Just bought a zero turn Ferris for $8K and use the Kubota for the tougher patches out in the Christmas tree field. Less stress on the Kubota and repairs and still have a new semi-professional model zero turn which works great...
I've had a Kubota BX2200 for 15 years and they still make that series. Have Land Pride tiller on three point hitch. You can get a small loader on it if you want as well. Mows, tills, diesel.
