I have the Milwaukee and it's a beast. Been changing blades on an old flail mower and breaking the bolts loose for the hangers is a piece of cake.

I've always wanted one of these. Don't need it but every time I see one for sale I look at it. One day I'll run across one on the cheap and buy it. I've seen some as small as a yard capacity, but that might be so small as to make it more trouble than a good size landscape box.

Yeah, I've got a Gates on mine as well, no wear yet but I just started using it so I have no experience to rely on. I've read about Kevlar belts in this thread and it sounds like they might be superior, but availability and price (if I can find one) would probably make it less of a value that...

I appreciate your efforts but that's not Kevlar either, lol. I'm starting to think that size just isn't made. Thanks again for looking. I'll eventually find it if it's available.

Looks like that's for the EPDM/rubber v-belt. They don't appear to have the proper size Kevlar belts. I've yet to find anyone with a C54 in Kevlar. Odds are if I did find one the price difference wouldn't be worth it, but it would be interesting to find out.

I've found belts galore, just none in kevlar like I've seen recommended in this thread.

After using my new to me JD 25A this week I'm thinking new knives and rings may be in order. The rings are about the same price everywhere but the scoop knives or hammers are all over the place price wise. This is the type of knife that's on there now. They look OK and could be sharpened but...

How much elevation change are you talking about? If you're cutting the trees in the orange circle could you then erect a tall pipe at each known pin, say a 20' piece of pvc, and see one from the other?
