I think i want/need a rock bucket or skeleton bucket.

WR Long sells grapples that can have narrower spacing added so you end up with a grapple and something that can separate. I made an insert for my grapple that does that and it works ok at a good general first pass. It doesn't give you the same level of screening a Grizzly screener etc. would...

Brush grabber type - which one?

Lots of good information in this thread. I have the grabber you listed and it works well for what it will get ahold of. I use it for stuff that I can't get to with other attachments (tooth bar / tree-puller / stump bucket ). The pipe/chain combo looks like a great idea and you already have...

Land Pride RTA1274 not the best choice?

If you have rocks they will beat the crap out of the tiller. Mine looked banged up after the first use in an untilled field. I've had it for 6 years though so it does work, but had I known I may have opted to get a more heavy duty tiller if working tons of new tillage. Mine is reverse though.

Thoughts on a "kitty litter scoop" for tractor???

I wanted to use my grapple, but the spacing was 8" or so. It got the giant stuff fine, but not the smaller stuff. I then made an insert that was at around 2.5-3" spacing. This got the next size rock down but wasn't that great at truly separating things out. I made a sifter out of an old...

Would you use this pic in an advertisement?

In a way, you have to give them credit for showing the reality of what you might get. If you see one that looks like a piece of art in the ad and then you get one sent to you that looks like crap you might be much more upset.

    Landscape rake for roots, sticks

It will remove sticks and other debris. Sticks can get caught in the tines though so be prepared to get off and clean them out every so often.

Forward tine v reverse tine tiller

Have an MX5200 and a light weight reverse tine LandPride tiller. IF you have rock, either get a forward rotation OR get something that is more heavy-duty than you think you'll need. You end up windrowing rock and pulling it into huge piles between the tractor and tiller. If I had known...

    Rock bucket

I also use the rake to windrow. I had some success with a drop in for my grapple to screen rocks that are larger. I ended up building a grizzly and then ended up working pretty well. Used old lumber, a couple bed frames and some old fencing and now get just dirt in one pile and rock in the...

Grizzly gravel screener for compact tractor

That looks rugged! I would not be as afraid to give that one a shake with the loader bucket. I used scrap wood, a bed frame, and a roll of old fencing. I wanted to go cheap since I didn't know how well it would work. I learned a lot after the first build and getting it dirty :) I was going to...

Buying Stump Bucket Instead of Backhoe

I have a stump bucket for the MX and it digs just fine. I don't get crazy with it and when the job calls for it I just take smaller nips to break a root etc. They probably aren't great for a person that just goes 110%. It digs very good with the few teeth it has it really lets it sink in...

    Brush Rake?

I would guess you could get away with the rake. Just use some caution and buckle up. An alternate could be a chain harrow. Mine collects all kinds of stuff but you have to get off and empty it if not mounted to a 3-point rack. They aren't that expensive and could be pulled from the drawbar...

Grapple Double Duty Grapple, Tractor and Track Loader...Help me choose.

W.R. Long Open Bottom Grapple Dual. W.R. Long on EA's Site The unit has been flawless and done anything save I've asked it and doesn't weigh a ton. I have about the same capacity as you do and went 64" which is a bit narrower than the tractor. I have never needed wider. The nice thing is...

    Roll Over Box Blade.

I would think that the concave situation would be resolved by using the fixed box blade in reverse. Never had an issue with my fixed BB, but I don't spend all day using it, have no top-n-tilt, no hydraulic rippers etc. I just adjust it and go and in 99% of the time, that has worked just...

Brush Grapple vs Root Rake Grapple

Dual lid long bottom tines here and it works great. Moves brush piles, rocks, pulling out overgrowth is easy and with two clamping down it will help clamp both sides if they are odd shapped. You can also get some of them with narrower spacing on the tines if you wish to use it to sort/sift...

    Toothbar - Moving compost/seaweed

The EA wicked toothbar helped me go in and remove 6' piles of clay, rock, soil, and roots pretty fast. I couldn't even touch these without it—probably the same with the piranha. I also leave mine on all the time and have no issues there. Seaweed reminds me more of scooping grass clippings...
