Had the day off so I spent it with my new used MF 135. Changed Hyd. filter and replaced the oil filter assembly with the upgraded spin on filter head.
Before, the 3 pt. controls would not work properly. Draft worked, position did not. Filter I replaced looked like it was the original from...
After discovering that my 135's hydraulic filter appeared to be the original, thought I may need to change the thermostat also, just to be safe. Is there a local source for these or a supplier that some of you have used in the past?

Here are a few pics of the new workhorse of my farm. Spent the day disking and harrowing my arena...partly to warm up the hydraulic fluid and mostly to play and learn the machine. She did great, no bogging down in the heavy sand at all. Issues noticed are as noted:

Drained hyd. fluid today, flushed out with diesel. Went to check the hyd. filter, removed the 4 screws on the plate covering the sensitivity lever/dipstick, and found no filter. Do I need to remove all the bolts around the main housing? Advice welcome. thanks
Noticed on my new 135 that the hydraulic fluid is white, which I am guessing means it has water in it. Question is, how do I drain and refill the fluid? will the tainted fluid cause any long lasting problems? Any advice welcome. Thanks!
Just picked up my "new" MF 135, 3cyl. Perkins diesel today. Overall and for the age, she is in good shape. Engine runs great and lift works well. For the more experienced here, what do your prefer, the original exhaust or vertical? I was told that the horizontal exhaust gets knocked off...
having issues with my little Kubota lately, then quit running completely. Pulled valve cover and discovered a bent pushrod, on 2nd valve. Engine just went through a full rebuild recently. Could this have been a defective pushrod? should I just replace it and try it again or does this warrant...
