I can see some of the pros and cons of either as I’ve had both. One thing with the electric tilt I’ve wondered and I’m sure some of you have used a trailer more than me is…. Is there a way to get the trailer to tilt if the pump goes out on a electric tilt? Or are you just SOL?

Had a 10k 20 foot electric tilt and sold it about a year ago and ordered a 14k 22 foot electric tilt.
The 10k was built with a six inch frame and tongue. The 14k I have now is built with a eight inch frame and tongue. I never put the old trailer on the scale nor have I with the bigger trailer...
Was at Home Depot earlier and saw the smaller rigid job box, that would probably be the best heavy duty option, would just have t cut the feet off for it to sit flush with the floor.
Need to mount my Hobo freight 12k apex winch on my new trailer. It’s a electric tilt and I have the winch plate in the floor, I’m leaning towards mounting a tool box up front. Would be nice too not mess with the winch cover and give the winch some extra protection. Plus some space for chains...
Good luck and probably a good call on passing on the 2wd. I looked for about a year before I found my 2500HD 6.0 truck, they’re hard to find around me for whatever reason. The ones I found were either a few years old and seen better days or fully loaded trucks that they wanted more for than most...
No doubt, a buddy and I borrowed one years ago to haul a old K5 blazer and I was sold after that on tilt trailers and knew that’s the route I’d go when I could buy one. Everything has its pros and cons, for my needs a tilt works fine.
I have a 2017 2500HD with the 6.0, but mine is four wheel drive and has the 4:10’s back. I traded my half ton for it about a year ago.
Ive had around 8500 pounds behind it and it tows really really well. The 6.0’s are pretty much bullet proof and have been around quite a long time, I wanted a...
Joined here a few months back or so asking about dump trailers. Decided to hold off and by luck found a decent 77 Squarebody one ton dump truck for a lot cheaper than a dump trailer.
This is my third trailer and think I got it figured out after having two different ones before this one.

i called them and they’re still using the dexter axels. As far as the lack of uprights after seeing some in person they seem solid enough imo. They do the 10 gauge sides and 7 gauge floor. End of the day I don’t plan on beating the hell out of whatever I buy.
